Professional Statement
Michael C. Milano, MD, FACOG, specializes in a wide range of gynecologic care, including infertility, hormone therapy, and menopause. Dr. Milano is adept at minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, cosmetic vaginal surgery, and bio-identical hormone therapy. Currently he is evaluating the newly approved Acessa device for uterine fibroid ablation. Dr. Milano has practiced for more than 25 years and he has delivered more than 3000 infants.
While practicing with Associates of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility, PA, (now Associates of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility at Summit Medical Group), Dr. Milano also was Resident Coordinator for the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During the 15 years he was Resident Coordinator, Dr. Milano organized protocols, developed curriculum, and helped start the first subdivision of operative laparoscopy. He has been an attending obstetrician and gynecologist with Columbus Hospital in Newark, the Hospital Center at Orange in Orange, Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, and Montclair Community Hospital, all located in New Jersey.
Dr. Milano is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the New Jersey Medical Society. He has been Editor in Chief of the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Journal. Dr. Milano has delivered local invited presentations on a range of topics in obstetrics and gynecology.
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Milano enjoys woodworking, golfing, and collecting American Civil War military antiques.
